- Sweet-Sour Tomatoes

- 4 medium to large ripe tomatoes
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. - 1/4 cup sugar (to taste)
- 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh herbs (basil, oregano, parsley, etc.)

- Several hours before serving (or the night before) cut tomatoes into
- wedges. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over tomatoes. Stir
- gently until sugar is disolved. Cover and refrigerate. Serve over
- lettuce or by itself.

- This is really good for a picnic.
